Port Stephens Day Trip itinerary:
You start your beach journey from various pickups from Sydney early in the morning to Port Stephens in the beautiful Nelsen Bay from Coast Warriors near all of the hostels and Central Station. We put some backdrop melodies and storm across the famed Sydney Harbor Bridge to the North for our first visit to wild kangaroos. Take a nap and get a couple more hours of hangover zzz or talk to the rest of the people in the neighbourhood before we get to Anna Bay. Everyone takes a cool 4-wd bus in Anna Bay and drives 15 minutes deep into the sand dunes. We use the only surf service for sandboarding (without being wet). we use a sandboarding company. We spend approximately 90 minutes here until you are able to go forward. You should find some coffee or give some cheeky snap-chats at the nearest beach café if you don’t feel like sandboarding.
We pile it up again, covering the floors with sand… ordinary! If you want we have an iced up eski box to keep the bad boys cold. We’ll go into the flash shop where you can take drinks from our bbq lunch. Instead we hop on a small boat to head out to the Bay of Nelson for a dolphin, float in the boom channel and enjoy the beautiful views of this journey. You should take a dip, relax, check out Nelson Bay stores, hange at the bbq with our second guide or pick up a snorkel and go for a dive in the nearby Fly Point. Be mindful that Dopin watching is an optional extra for $20 a day. Now is the time for a good luncheon that is only appreciated by Coast Warriors. We go to a nearby park and cook for everyone an actual Australian BBQ lunch as they chill and mix. They can try some kangaroo meat, cooked and made by our cuisine, for those who are in an adventure. We meet all dietary requirements, vegans come to me!
After this will be Shoal Bay, which is a wonderful stretch of black, blue and white waters overlooking one end of the Nelson lighthouse and on the other the monolithic Mount Tomaree, spectacularly overlooking the area. Mount Tomaree is a medium bush walk for nearly 30 minutes to a scenic location selected to have a view of Australia’s top 3. The walk is worth it and it is beautiful, but nothing is mandatory on Coast Warriors. Feel free to find a towel and headphones. After we’ve taken Mount Tomaree sites, we go to the relaxed Shoal Bay Beach or the secluded Zenith Beach, kicking back our foot, relaxing on the sand and splashing on the beach, before we return to the town where we often end up drinking in a bar for those who want to join us. Our official retreat in the City under Wake Up Hostel is 814 George Road.
