Lucky Bay (WA)

The whitest beach in Australia, Lucky Bay, is also one of the most desirable in Western Australia. It is the finest gem on the coastline of Cape Le Great National Park and Esperance with its string of amazing beaches. The squeaky sand of the Recherche Archipelago, the turquoise sea, the perfect swimming conditions and amazes the views, make it the top of Australia’s best beach rankings. There can’t even be the kangaroo lazy on the sand here.

You’ll find Lucky Bay, in the Cape le Grand Park, a 45-minute drive east of Esperance. You can also take a Esperance tour.

The bay spans five kilometres and you will find your own paradise to relax and cast a fishing line with no crowd to battle.

Go beyond the beach and there are excellent walking paths, many of which offer a sweeping panorama of the archipelago of the Recherche. Be sure to watch for migrating whales from July to October.

The caravans and campsites in the National Park provide picnic areas, sun-heated showers and toilets, perfect for staying overnight in a star-filled moonlit bay.

The admission fee and the camping fee apply to the national park.
